Catch "The Luck of the Irish" during St. Patrick's Day activities in downtown Ludington

The 2013 Schedule of Events will be posted as it becomes available.

Everyone is Irish on St. Patty's Day, and downtown Ludington is where you want to be for all the fun events. Participate in any or all the day's events and earn lucky clovers. If you find a 4 leaf clover, you'll receive $100 in gift certifiates and/or merchandise to various businesses in downtown Ludington. If you're lucky enough to find a 5 leaf clover, win the Pot-of-Gold worth $500!

Here's a list of what happened in 2012:

  • Kegs & Eggs Breakfast, 9am-12pm, Sportsman's Irish Pub. For $6.00, enjoy eggs, corned beef hash and $3.00 pints of Guiness.
  • 5K Irish Jig, 10am, North James Street Plaza, through downtown and along the waterfront. Pre-register by March 9 for $20; after $25. Benefits the Ludington Area Center for the Arts.
  • Shamrock Parade, 12pm, along South James Street.
  • Shopping & Dining, 10am-6pm, participating downtown Ludington businesses.
  • St. Patty's Day Pub Crawl, 6pm-11pm, participating downtown Ludington establishments.
  • Emerald Ball, 6:30pm-10pm, Ludington Area Center for the Arts. Featuring General Assembly in concert. In its four decades of performing, The General Assembly has become a favorite for audiences all over Michigan. A full, 17-piece orchestra with female vocalist, the group performs the best of the old and new in music for listening and dancing. Formed by musicians in the Ludington area, the group has grown over the years to include members from all over West Michigan. Enjoy cash bar and Irish-inspired hors d'oeuvres and desserts by PM Steamers. Dress up, dress down...but absolutely dress in green! Ticket prices, which include a beverage at the cash bar, are $35 per person for members and $40 per person for non-members. Tickets are available at the Center Tuesday through Saturday, noon-5:30 p.m. or online at Ludington Art Center. Reservations are encouraged.
